THE KITCHEN

The cooking we offer is simple and homely, using the fresh, genuine ingredients of our tradition. Dishes are prepared with the best quality produce from the surrounding area; the most important is the extra virgin olive oil DOP of Malcesine. We personally search for the most genuine goods available and prepare our dishes with scrupulous care for quality.

THE KITCHEN

Some dishes on the menu are typically Venetian, like home-made pasta with duck sauce, spaghetti with lake sardines, “polenta with sopressa” (local salami), grilled sausages, sardines “in saòr”. Other dishes vary according to the season and the creativity of the chef-host; so our menu changes: in spring you’ll taste, for example, wild asparagus or aromatic herbs from the hills, in autumn, from Monte Baldo, mushrooms and game. Our speciality is lake fish: tench, pike, lake trout, lavaret, sardines, perch, according to the period of the year and the good luck of our trusty fishermen. The fish can be grilled or boiled to exalt freshness and delicacy of flavour, pickled or stewed, according to the ancient recipes of Lake Garda; “in saor” as taught during Venetian rule. For the meat we rely on selected local suppliers. Always with main courses we serve grilled “polenta”. To satisfy all tastes, we also offer some seafood dishes. To end your meal sweetly we can suggest: “sbrisolona” cake with grappa, chocolate log, our “OlivettO grappa-semifreddo”. So come and meet us and… enjoy your meal!
